Women of Sudan

About the film

A short documentary about the years after the December Revolution and the civilian government, told by the Sudanese women who were part of them.

Activists, politicians and women in public life speak about their work in politics, law and civil society, and about their part in the modern Sudanese feminist movement. They look back on what they faced and what they achieved, and ahead to a more inclusive future for women in Sudan. I wanted the film to be a place where this history is kept, so that what women did in those years stays part of our shared memory.
