About the film
A young Sudanese businesswoman travels to Italy for the first time. Her fear of discrimination doubles the pressure on her confidence, but she discovers that if she lets herself, she may not be an outsider after all.
I wrote and directed Amal in Italy during a two-month artistic residency in Pescara with Cinemadamare, in 2026.
