Salma Abusamra is a Sudanese filmmaker and photographer based in Berlin. For over a decade, she has been weaving stories through images, working at the crossroads of art and advocacy. Her work moves through women’s narratives, resilience, migration, and identity—tracing the fragile yet powerful threads of belonging across borders.
A member of the Sudanese Filmmaking Association and the Sudanese Human Rights Monitor, Salma has collaborated with cultural institutions and international organizations to bring forward voices often left unheard. She is currently deepening her craft as a student at Archa Film School in Berlin, where she continues to explore new forms of visual storytelling.
